All about the role:

Functional System Validation Laboratory Engineer/Specialist will be primarily supporting the Digital & Electronic Technology development team with tasks to deliver functional system (software) validation testing as it relates to cooking appliances. The Functional System Validation Laboratory Engineer/Specialist will assist the Laboratory/Department Manager in providing technical leadership and expertise across each appliance product line.

What you’ll do:

  • Supports functional system validation testing following internally generated test procedures, product level specifications, and records the discrepancies in issue tracking software.

  • Generates functional system test logs from standard laboratory templates.

  • Works closely with functional systems/software engineers to prepare test and validation plans/manuals.

  • Responsible for functional system validation team support of flashing electronics controls as needed throughout the R&D community.

  • Works in conjunction with the engineering team to analyze test results and suggest improvements to systems, specifications, and consumer use cases.

  • Responsible for providing support and training on new products to other departments and customers as required.

  • Responsible for the training on new functional system validation team members.

  • Performs special projects as directed by the lab/department manager.

Who you are:

  • Advanced technical knowledge of electrical/electronic functional system in home appliances

  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

  • Ability to manage stressful situations under workload peaks.

  • Advanced technical knowledge of cooking appliances

  • Exhibit appropriate professional behavior including positive attitude, sense of urgency, independent judgment, teamwork, creative thinking, and personal integrity to achieve department/corporate goals and objectives.

  • Team spirit and communication skills, share information with group

  • Sense of urgency, timely delivery of test reports is fundamental to overall project timing

  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

  • Communicate clearly and concisely in English, verbally and in writing.

  • Able to stand or sit for much of the shift.

  • Minimum two-year technical degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.

  • Bachelor’s in engineering preferred

  • Five (5) years of hands-on experience with Electronics in a lab environment preferred.

  • Five (5) years of experience in an industrial R&D environment preferred.

Where you’ll be

You will be based at Hangzhou Plant in China, No. 18 Street, Qiantang District. It will be necessary to be available for national and international traveling.
