Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Functional SME – Time & Scheduling to support the delivery of the MyTime + MyPay program at Downer.

This is a 2-year maximum term contract, with strong potential for extension, contributing to a large-scale transformation to simplify and standardise our time-to-pay landscape.

In this role, you will play a key part in designing, configuring, and validating UKG Workforce Management Time & Attendance and Scheduling capabilities. You will ensure time capture, scheduling processes, pay rules, and compliance requirements are accurately translated into system logic, supporting consistent, compliant, and scalable workforce management practices across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture and analyse end-to-end time and attendance requirements across operations, payroll, and HR
  • Translate awards, enterprise agreements, and legislative requirements into system configuration and pay rules
  • Support the design and standardisation of time capture and scheduling processes across multiple sites
  • Configure and validate pay rules, accruals, scheduling parameters, and exception handling logic
  • Ensure compliance with industrial instruments, including overtime, penalties, allowances, and leave rules
  • Validate integrations across Time & Attendance, Scheduling, Payroll, HRIS, and Finance systems
  • Support SIT, UAT, and parallel testing, including investigation and resolution of defects
  • Assist with data migration, deployment activities, and phased rollouts across multiple sites
  • Provide support during hypercare, including issue resolution, system optimisation, and knowledge transfer

What You Will Bring

  • Experience working with time and attendance systems in complex, multi-site environments (UKG highly regarded)
  • Strong understanding of award interpretation, enterprise agreements, and payroll compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to translate operational workforce requirements into system configuration and logic
  • Experience with scheduling, time capture, and workforce management processes end-to-end
  • Hands-on experience supporting SIT, UAT, parallel testing, and go-live activities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail in compliance-sensitive environments
  • Ability to work across operations, payroll, HR, and technical teams in a fast-paced transformation program
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
