What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate the administration of English and Mathematics Functional Skills delivery across Pearson TQ apprenticeship contracts.

  • Support Individual Learning Plans and allocate Functional Skills Tutors to apprentices through OneFile.
  • Upload and map Functional Skills documentation on OneFile and maintain relevant learner notes.
  • Schedule Functional Skills examinations and help coordinate invigilators and examination rooms, supporting invigilation when required.
  • Monitor and record Functional Skills results and communicate relevant information to Pearson TQ colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Support the Functional Skills management team with quality assurance, Awarding Organisation requirements, verification and standardisation processes.
  • Contribute to team and operational meetings and help ensure important information is communicated effectively.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring:

  • Strong organisational, planning and administration skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-management skills, with confidence working with internal and external stakeholders.

  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities and workloads.
  • Confidence managing tight deadlines and conflicting priorities.
  • A flexible, organised approach to getting work completed accurately.
  • A commitment to supporting learning and opportunity for all.

It would be helpful, but is not essential, if you also have:

  • Knowledge or understanding of Functional Skills.
  • Experience within education, training or apprenticeships.
  • A Level 2 Administration qualification.
  • Functional Skills, Key Skills or Skills for Life qualifications.
  • Experience of MIS data processing.
  • Experience working with military training contracts.

Why Join Pearson TQ?

This is an opportunity to play a hands-on role in keeping Functional Skills delivery organised and running effectively across Pearson TQ apprenticeship contracts. You’ll work across learner administration, programme coordination, examinations, Awarding Organisation activity and stakeholder communication in a role where strong organisation and dependable follow-through make a real difference.

You don’t need to have worked in Functional Skills before. If you bring a solid administrative background, strong Excel capability, good communication skills and the flexibility to manage changing priorities, we’d be interested in hearing from you.
