Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Product Control team, supporting Independent Price Verification (IPV), valuation governance, and regulatory control functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating the fair value of financial instruments, performing pricing analysis, investigating valuation discrepancies, and supporting the firm's control and compliance framework. This role requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with Front Office, Middle Office, Finance, and external pricing vendors

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead team responsible for Performing Independent Price Verification (IPV) validation and re-pricing of securities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of valuations.
  • Prepare and analyze various back-testing reports, valuation analyses, and management reports to assess pricing trends and exceptions.
  • Support Product Control activities by verifying market rates, closing prices, and identifying and investigating off-market price movements.
  • Utilize market data and analytical platforms such as Bloomberg, Intex, and Reuters to perform valuation and verification analysis.
  • Partner with Front Office, Middle Office, Product Control, and CMA teams, as well as external pricing vendors, to investigate and resolve pricing discrepancies and valuation variances.
  • Assist in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control execution, coordination, testing, and documentation to support regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, ad-hoc analyses, and special projects as assigned by management.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with Front Office, Middle Office, Risk Management, Finance, and Product Control teams to resolve valuation issues.
  • Liaise with external pricing vendors and market data providers to investigate pricing variances.
  • Support valuation committees by providing analysis and commentary on material valuation exposures and exceptions.

Controls, Audit & Compliance

  • Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, testing activities, and documentation requirements.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing valuation evidence, supporting documentation, and control narratives.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements

Process Improvement & Projects

  • Identify opportunities to enhance valuation methodologies, controls, and reporting processes.
  • Participate in automation and transformation initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency.
  • Support strategic projects and ad-hoc assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • CA or Equivalent Accounting Degree with 12-15 years of progressive experience and atleast 7-8 years of core experience in Valuation and IPV
  • Securities knowledge preferred
  • Bloomberg experience preffered
  • Strong analytical and excel skills required
  • Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
