The Functional Expert for Serialization will play a key role in supporting, improving, and scaling serialization solutions across the organization. The role requires functional expertise on digital shopfloor applications, with desirable knowledge on serialization systems, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast‑changing environment. This position will partner closely with business stakeholders, manufacturing sites, quality, and Digital teams to ensure compliant and efficient serialization processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the subject-matter expert for Serialization solutions, with strong functional knowledge of Antares products (Tracking System, Site Configurations, Line Management, Interface management, etc.).
  • Support serialization deployment projects as a functional subject matter expert
  • Analyze functional issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
  • Act as a L3 incident support contact for end‑to‑end serialization processes ensuring root cause analysis is found, proposing solution and potentially escalating incident to L4 Antares support teams.
  • Create or update Functional specifications for system enhancements and new features.
  • Collaborate with technical teams for solution design, system configuration, testing, and deployment. Coordinate the implementation of small projects.
  • Lead functional testing: prepare test cases, execute tests (dry runs/SIT), and support validation documentation.
  • Provide ongoing support to manufacturing sites and supply chain partners to ensure serialization readiness and business continuity.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively recommend improvements.
  • Maintain accurate process documentation, SOPs, and user guides.
  • Train and support end users to ensure correct adoption of serialization tools and processes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience working with Serialization platforms, ideally Antares Track & Trace solutions.
  • Proven experience working with Servers and interfaces end to end, ideally Antares Track & Trace solutions.
  • Functional understanding of the Serialization process (from master data and raw materials to sales).
  • Strong functional expertise in serialization processes within Pharma, FMCG, or highly regulated industries.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities; ability to break down complex problems and structure clear solutions.
  • Excellent skills in connecting to remote servers, connecting to applications, connecting to SQL.NET Databases and understanding windows services and logs.
  • High level of autonomy and ownership; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong resilience and adaptability to constant change, shifting priorities, and evolving regulatory needs.
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams (manufacturing, quality, supply chain, IT).
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
  • Experience with system validation and GxP environments.
  • Experience with hybrid architecture with solutions on-premises and cloud.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in project delivery or change management.
  • Understanding of interfaces between systems.
  • Understanding of integration between serialization systems and ERP (SAP), WMS, or L3/L4/L5 systems.
  • Knowledge of global serialization and traceability regulations.
  • Experience on JIRA, Confluence and Veeva system for project and documentation management and Servicenow for Incident and change management.
