Global — Own the Store Program

About the Team

You will join the Digital Commerce team within the Digital Growth Hub & Commercial function. The team manages a global portfolio of applications that support commercial operations, including integrations with business functions and external partners.

In this role, you will focus on merchandising solutions — specifically TRAX, an AI-powered image recognition platform that underpins the global "Own the Store" program. TRAX gives Merchandisers and Trade Marketing teams real-time visibility into in-store shelf execution and compliance.

Main Responsibilities

A — Merchandising solutions — Functional Expert

Support the end-to-end product lifecycle for Merchandising solutions such as TRAX underpinning the Own the Store program globally, serving Merchandisers, Trade Marketing teams, and Commercial Operations:

Product Backlog & Delivery Support

  • Lead Definition and update of the TRAX product backlog, translating business requirements from the Own the Store program into well-defined requirements and acceptance criteria.

  • Write functional specifications and ensuring stories are ready for development (Definition of Ready) and meet quality standards upon delivery (Definition of Done).

  • Track and monitor delivery progress, flagging risks or blockers

  • Duly support issues resolutions as per Support governance

Own the Store Program — Merchandising Solutions enablement Support

  • Support the rollout and continuous improvement of Merchandising solutions features (e.g. TRAX) enabling Merchandisers to capture, validate, and act on shelf execution data (planogram compliance, share of shelf, product availability) aligned with the Own the Store program globally.

  • Partner with Trade Marketing and Merchandising business owners to understand in-store execution workflows and translate them into prioritised merchandising solutions requirements and platform enhancements.

  • Assist in driving adoption of Merchandising solutions capabilities enabling store managers and field teams to monitor shelf compliance and take corrective action in real time based on AI-detected insights.

  • Support the configuration and localisation of Merchandising solutions models to meet market-specific planogram standards, category requirements, and regional compliance.

  • Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) cycles, coordinating with market teams and ensuring business sign-off on new recognition models, features, and releases.

Integrations & Data

  • Collaborate with technical teams to support seamless integration between Merchandising solutions and related systems (CRM, field force tools, reporting and BI platforms).

  • Help define KPIs and measurement frameworks to track Own the Store program performance through Merchandising solutions analytics (OSA, planogram compliance scores, share of shelf, perfect store metrics).

  • Assist in monitoring image capture quality and recognition model accuracy, flagging data inconsistencies that may impact field reporting or decision-making.

Vendor & Support Coordination

  • Act as a point of contact for day-to-day coordination with the Merchandising solotuions vendor (e.g. TRAX), ensuring support tickets are properly triaged and SLAs are respected.

  • Escalate recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives with the vendor.

B — Product Governance & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Handle product governance with Merchandising Solution teams (TRAX) ensuring product roadmap is delivered on time as per expectations.

  • Maintain product documentation, user guides, release notes, and training materials for Merchandising solutions (e.g. TRAX) and the Own the Store program.

  • Liaise with regional and market teams globally to gather field feedback and usage insights.

  • Monitor product performance metrics and user adoption; contribute data-driven inputs to roadmap prioritisation.

  • Stay informed on Merchandising solutions product roadmap updates and evaluate new image recognition and retail execution capabilities relevant to merchandising and trade performance.

Required Qualifications & Background

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, Business or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.

Junior Product / PO Experience

First experience (internship, apprenticeship, or 3–5 years) as a Junior Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a digital product / project role. Exposure to agile delivery is a plus.

Image Recognition / Retail Tech

Basic understanding of image recognition, computer vision, or retail execution platforms. Experience with TRAX or similar shelf intelligence / perfect store tools is a strong advantage.

FMCG / FMCH Industry

Some exposure to FMCG or FMCH commercial operations, trade marketing, or field-force environments is appreciated but not mandatory.

Data & Analytics

Comfort with data analysis, KPI tracking, and reporting tools. Ability to interpret dashboards and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

Agile

Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe); basic knowledge of backlog management tools such as Jira and Confluence.

  • Proactive and autonomous — able to manage multiple priorities in a global, matrixed organisation.

  • Clear communicator, adaptable to field, product, technical, and finance audiences.

  • Detail-oriented with genuine curiosity for digital commerce, Retail execution and FMCG.
