Job Description

Planned Systems International, LLC (PSI) is seeking a skilled Functional Area Analyst to support our Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information and Technology (OIT) customer. Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • The Functional Area Analyst can dive deep into data, perform analysis, discovering root causes, and designing long-term data solutions.
  • Manage invoices for payment from large, contracted vendors supporting healthcare for Veterans.
  • The Functional Area Analyst will work with users and customers to document and strategize process improvements for current business processes (business process reengineering) and is responsible for providing market research on conditions that impact the overall operational efficiency of the organization, while identifying symptoms for process improvement.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 8 years relevant experience
  • Degree in engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline is required
  • 5 years related experience required.
  • Must have considerable experience with the analysis of business, functional, technical, activities, and events.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier II Moderate Risk Background Investigation.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large Cabinet-level federal agencies, ideally the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • Ability to work with users and customers to document and strategize for process improvements for current business processes.
  • Provides market research on conditions that impact the overall operational efficiency of an organization.
  • Identifies symptoms for process improvement.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent ability to communicate across most mediums and settings.
  • Knowledge of military and Veteran populations.
