The role partners closely with finance leadership and end users to ensure ERP and connected financial applications effectively support day to day financial operations while enabling accurate, compliant, and efficient financial workflows.

Serving as a key functional subject‑matter expert, The Business Systems Functional Analyst translates business needs into well‑defined functional requirements, configurations, and process improvements. The role works in close coordination with the Technical ERP Analyst and broader IT team to ensure system changes are accurate, tested, documented, and well adopted by the business. • Serve as the primary functional point of contact for ERP related questions, issues, and process improvement opportunities across the business, including responsibility for supporting and optimizing third‑party software platforms that fall within the finance functional domain.
  • Support the evaluation, onboarding, and functional adoption of new third‑party software tools, including requirements definition, business validation, integration coordination, testing, documentation, and end‑user enablement.
  • Analyze, document, and design end to end business processes, ensuring alignment between operational needs and ERP capabilities.
  • Configure and maintain ERP functional settings, workflows, business rules, screens, and user roles in accordance with approved standards.
  • Govern and maintain ERP master data, including customers, vendors, items, pricing, and organizational structures, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather and refine functional requirements for system enhancements, new features, and process changes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Technical ERP Analyst to translate functional requirements into technical designs, configurations, and customizations.
  • Participate in ERP testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing.
  • Support ERP upgrades, patches, and release cycles by validating functional impacts and assisting with deployment readiness.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), training materials, job aids, and user documentation related to ERP processes.
  • Deliver and support end‑user training, including onboarding new users and reinforcing best practices for system usage.
  • Assist with change management efforts by supporting communication, training coordination, and post‑deployment stabilization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve usability, efficiency, data quality, and compliance through ERP process optimization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of enterprise systems and business objectives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of functional experience supporting or working with ERP systems in a distribution, manufacturing, or multi‑branch environment.
  • Solid understanding of Finance functional areas.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, documenting workflows, and supporting system configuration or enhancements.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with non‑technical users and operational leaders.
