Functional Analyst AI (Business Analyst – GenAI) | Agile Environment

About the Role

We are looking for a Functional Analyst AI to join a multidisciplinary Agile team working on innovative, customer-focused solutions in a fast-evolving digital environment.

In this role, you act as the bridge between business and IT, translating requirements into functional specifications while ensuring scalable, efficient, and value-driven AI solutions—particularly within Generative AI (GenAI) contexts.

Your Responsibilities

• 
  Analyze business needs and translate them into functional specifications and end-to-end solutions
• 
  Act as the link between stakeholders and technical teams (developers, engineers, architects)
• 
  Challenge requirements and ensure value-driven, cost-efficient solutions
• 
  Contribute to GenAI use cases, ensuring best practices in:
  • 
    Data usage and value
  • 
    Compliance and governance
  • 
    Testing and validation of AI models
• 
  Work in an Agile (Scrum) environment, delivering solutions iteratively (MVP approach)
• 
  Monitor and analyze incidents, defects, and system performance
• 
  Collaborate on testing activities with cross-functional teams
• 
  Facilitate workshops and discussions with stakeholders
• 
  Continuously improve customer experience and operational efficiency

Your Profile

Must-Have

• 3–5 years' experience in Artificial Intelligence / AI-driven projects
• 
  Strong experience as a Functional Analyst / Business Analyst
• 
  Proven experience in:
  • Requirements analysis and process optimization
  • End-to-end solution design
  • Testing and validation of AI solutions (especially GenAI)
• 
  Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• 
  Experience in customer interaction environments (e.g. call centers)
• 
  Knowledge of the Belgian utilities market
• 
  Fluent in English + Dutch and/or French (trilingual preferred)
