As a Functional Analyst Finance, you are the bridge between Finance, Business and Digital. You combine your financial expertise with a strong interest in business applications, process optimization, and ERP systems.

You will become the go-to person for finance-related applications and processes, supporting colleagues, optimizing workflows, and driving the adoption of digital solutions across the organization. You help ensure that our financial systems support the business in the most efficient way possible while contributing to future digital transformation projects and ERP improvements.

Working closely with Finance, Digital, and business stakeholders, you analyze requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate business needs into practical system solutions.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a finance background who wants to move beyond traditional accounting or controlling and grow towards functional analysis, business applications, and ERP implementation projects.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing

• Acting as the functional expert for finance-related business applications.
• Supporting users with questions, system issues, and process improvements.
• Analyzing current finance processes and identifying opportunities for optimization and automation.
• Translating business requirements into functional solutions.
• Participating in ERP enhancement and implementation projects.
• Configuring and optimizing finance applications to support business needs.
• Ensuring data quality and system reliability.
• Creating and maintaining user documentation, process descriptions, and training materials.
• Training and coaching key users and end users.
• Promoting best practices and driving the adoption of digital tools across the organization.
• Collaborating closely with Finance, Digital, and international stakeholders to deliver sustainable improvements.

Requirements

At MPL, we turn knowledge into action. Who are we looking for?

• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, IT, or a related field.
• You have approximately 4 to 5 years of experience within Finance, Accounting, Controlling, or a similar financial environment.
• You have a strong interest in ERP systems, business applications, and process optimization.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or comparable ERP systems is a strong asset.
• You enjoy analyzing processes and finding smarter ways of working.
• You can translate complex business requirements into practical solutions.
• You have excellent communication skills and can easily connect with both finance professionals and technical teams.
• You are proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented.
• You enjoy working in an international environment with multiple stakeholders.
• You communicate fluently in English. Dutch is a strong advantage.
