How You’ll Make an Impact

As a key player on our Campus team, you’ll help create moments that matter. Be a part of our mission to make students feel at home by keeping the campus facilities running behind the scenes.

Pay: $29.12 per hour

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply current National Building Codes in making recommendations, relevant changes and or modifications to University buildings or equipment. Capable of checking and understanding other applicable codes relating to residential and commercial applications
• Working knowledge in general layout of plumbing systems for residential and commercial applications. Install, repair, and maintain distribution services for domestic, sanitary and specialized applications, such as laboratories, mechanical equipment, refrigeration, air conditioning, water treatment, etc
• Install, repair, and maintain high and low pressure water and air, including DWC, PVC, Dur-iron, cast copper, and steel, all manner of pumps, mixers, regulators, etc. Skilled in pipe fitting and plumbing, welding, brazing, etc
• Capable of working with low-pressure hot water systems, single and double pipe, gravity and forced air heating systems
• Under authority and direction of the Central Heating Plant Chief (where applicable), repair and maintain various low pressure steam equipment and piping including heat exchangers, PRV’s, steam traps, check valves, control valves, pressure vessels, hot water boilers etc, up to 15 psi
• Perform general mechanical maintenance and repair on various types of equipment

Qualifications

• Certifications: Red-Seal, Master or 1 or more Journeyman tickets
• A valid driver’s license required
