What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Python, React, and TypeScript to enhance sequencing capabilities.
• Implement robust messaging systems with Kafka and RabbitMQ to facilitate real-time data processing and communication.
• Design and optimize REST APIs for seamless integration with various data sources and applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features that improve user experience and operational efficiency.
• Utilize AWS services to deploy and manage applications in a cloud environment, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Analyze system performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 2–7 years of experience in full-stack development, with a strong focus on backend engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with frameworks relevant to the tech stack.
• Hands-on experience with messaging systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and experience deploying applications in a hybrid environment.
• Solid understanding of database management with PostgreSQL.

Preferred

• Experience in the biotechnology or life sciences industry, particularly in data-driven applications.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this role ranges from $155K to $195K, complemented by competitive undiluted equity options. This company offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
