What you will work on?

You will be joining us in this 1-100 journey, building the best AI tutor platform out of India (likes of Duolingo). So there is tons of UX, personalisation, gamification, problem solving, automations, scaling, and new ideas to work upon that comes along.

Requirements:

• Ideally 3-4yrs of experience in building Mobile apps + backend engineering (React Native and NodeJS)
• Strong engineering fundamentals
• Loves great architecture, uses best practices and can write scalable code.
• Software engineering skills -
• Redis, Queues, Caching
• Bonus - Elastic search
• Relational DBs - PostgreSQL / MySQL
• Rate limiting
• Basics of scaling and security
• Mobile engineering skills -
• High quality UI and basic animations
• Push notifications
• Have handled various mobile app challenges like - performance, optimized app builds, etc.
• Bonus - writing bridges, widgets, own libraries, etc.
• Worked with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Uses AI in workflow
• Bonus - Have worked in Python before
• Preferred - Worked/Familiarity in modern AI tech stack (LLMs, RAGs, training, etc.)

PS: Can you write code which can adapt to requirements 6 months in future?

Responsibilities:

• Building new features and various initiatives in backend and mobile app
• Deployments, performance, push notifications, etc
• Set up tooling and running experiments - crons, automation workflows, AI tooling, etc.
• Product and design reviews
• Pushing tech quotient of team - keep self updated with evolving technology and AI based tooling
• Take decisions driven by speed to production + quality for today

• Enjoys solving complex engineering and product problems
• Is engineering mindset - writing scripts or automation, or building quick dashboards (using Claude Code)

Compensation:

Experience wise: 22 to 32LPA. Esops for the right candidate.

Interview Process

You resume will be short listed as per your prior experience and inclination to work with us. Introductory call/ in-person meet (20-30 min) - We will discuss your work in detail, mindset and depth of skillset.

F2F 1, ~2 days: Fullstack mobile assignment round

F2F 2, 1h 15m: Fundamentals of programming, batching, object oriented in JS/TS, etc.

F2F 3, 1h 15m: system design - LLD - From a vague problem statement, concretise the requirements, DB schema design, performance, choices of architecture, etc.

F2F 4, 1h 15m: system design - HLD - Given a problem statement, design and architecture to achieve this keeping in mind how system would transition over an 1 year, ensuring security, right choices of storage/DB, etc.
