As a Team Lead, you will oversee a team of up to five Direct Support Professionals, ensuring high-quality support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role plays a key part in empowering individuals to live as independently as possible while meeting compliance and safety standards.
Supervise and support team members providing daily living assistance (housekeeping, hygiene, cooking, laundry, self-medication, etc.)
Assist individuals with financial management and budgeting
Ensure team compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation requirements
Maintain a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for staff and individuals
Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance feedback to your team
Participate in an on-call rotation and demonstrate flexibility within your team's schedule
Option 1: High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of progressively responsible experience supporting individuals with disabilities
Option 2: BA/BS degree in a Human Services-related field with 2 years of relevant experience
Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
Medication Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
Proficient computer and documentation skills
Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
Must pass background check, drug screen, and physical assessment (including lifting up to 50 lbs)
Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and using assistive equipment as needed
Mandt Certified or ability to become certified
