Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Somerville, MA on a full-time basis for the school year. This unique position will involve working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support to child school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.
Position entails a 40-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, 7:30-4:00pm or 8:00-4:30. B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
MA teaching license
Comfortable working with K-6th grade students
Strong organizational skills
Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
Reliable Transportation
