We are seeking highly motivated security personnel for a position within a physical security environment specializing in the protection of a long‑standing industrial manufacturing and distribution facility in Windsor, ON. You will have experience working in an industrial or similar environment where you are responsible for safeguarding assets, and you bring strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively resolve issues involving a diverse range of individuals, including visitors, truck drivers, contractors, and client employees.

Wages: $20.40/hr

Shift timings: Rotational (Days and Nights) Candidates must be able to do both.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• De-escalate tense situations by verbal communication using a variety of techniques designed to reduce risk.

• Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.

• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.

• Unlock and lock doors for access by authorized persons. Denying entry to anyone without authorization. 

• Operate gates at gatehouse locations, screening all visitors and truck drivers.

• Inspect trailers ensuring trailer doors are locked and sealed before the truck leaves.

• Assist mobile operations teams with security protocols and enhance security at strategic locations. 

• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.

• Monitor CCTV footage and cameras for irregularities and perform dispatch duties for the site including emergency response.

• Perform foot patrols inside and outside the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Valid Ontario Security License

• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate

• 1 years of security experience minimum within large scale security operations is strongly preferred.

• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.

• G class drivers' license is required. Vehicle is required to travel to the site as it is not bus accessible.

• Law and Security, Police Foundations, Border services or Military experience required.

• Customer service experience is a strong asset.
