Job Description

Security Officer

Are you a dependable and observant individual looking to make a difference in a retail environment? We are seeking professional Retail Security Officers to join our team at a busy retail site on Long Island Whether you're looking for full-time stability or part-time flexibility, we have positions to match your schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a strong, visible presence to deter theft and ensure public safety

  • Conduct regular patrols of the property, including stores, parking areas, and common spaces

  • Monitor surveillance systems and respond to security incidents promptly and professionally

  • Provide excellent customer service while enforcing site policies and procedures

  • Collaborate with mall management, law enforcement, and emergency services when needed

  • Complete incident reports accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL TO ISLANDIA, NY )

  • Valid NYS Security Guard License required

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • MUST HAVE WEEKEND AVAILABILITY

  • Strong communication and observation skills

  • MUST be willing to stand for duration of shifts
  • Professional demeanor and a commitment to customer service

  • Prior retail or mall security experience is a plus

  • MUST be willing to work weekends (10:00AM to 4:30PM)
