
Task description
We seek a research technician specialized in programming and app development to work on the IDAlert, E4Warning, and Planet4Health Projects, funded by the European Union's Horizon Europe programme. The research technician will lead the Mosquito Alert IT team, carrying out a variety of programming tasks, including (a) developing, maintaining, and improving mobile phone and web applications, servers, and related software tools used for citizen science and human subjects research related to public health and human mobility, (b) implementing unit testing, (c) documenting code, (d) collaborating with other programmers and scientists to ensure data quality, robust connections between apps and servers, and effective interactions and experiences by participants (UX), and (e) fostering open source communities contributing to the code base.

Terms and conditions of the contract
Salary approx. (gross) 51,652.60€ euros/year
Job Location: Barcelona, Spain.
Type of Contract – Contract for carrying out activities related to the research line of the Socio Demographic Research Group, affiliated with the Department of Political and Social Sciences. Indefinite according to the provisions of article 23 bis of the Llei 14/2011, from the 1st of June, of science, technology, and innovation.
Full time (35h/w) This contract will remain in effect until the completion of the projects.
