Job Description

A private family of four in Jacksonville, FL, consisting of a couple and two pre-teen children, is seeking an experienced Private Chef. The family is seeking a chef who can commit to 4–5 days per week, preparing fresh, flavorful lunches and dinners, with simple breakfast items prepared in advance for the family to enjoy at their convenience.

The family enjoys Italian and French cuisine, classical recipes, and a variety of proteins including fish, steak, lamb, and chicken. Meals should be flavorful, well presented, and family-friendly, with options that appeal to both adults and children.

The family also entertains small groups occasionally, so the chef should be comfortable preparing meals for guests as needed.

Schedule: 4–5 days per week, with flexibility based on the family’s needs.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve daily lunches and dinners for the family
• Prepare simple breakfast items in advance, including cut fruit and other easy options the family can help themselves to
• Weekly menu planning
• Create meals that are both refined and child-friendly
• Grocery shop and source fresh, quality ingredients
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen

Requirements:

• Previous Private Chef experience
• Classical culinary training preferred
• Strong knowledge of Italian and French cuisine
• Experience preparing meals for families with children
• Strong menu planning and grocery-shopping skills
• Excellent professional references
• Organized, reliable, and able to work independently
• Available to begin immediately

Compensation: $500 per day
