Jovie is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide in-home respite care for children with support needs throughout the Orange County area. If you have childcare experience and enjoy creating fun, engaging experiences while giving families the support they need, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Whether you've worked as a nanny, babysitter, daycare teacher, preschool teacher, paraprofessional, camp counselor, or have other professional childcare experience, we'd love to meet you.
Pay: $18-21/hour + Overtime Pay
• Provide safe, engaging in-home care for children with support needs
• Create fun activities, including crafts, games, reading, imaginative play, and outdoor activities
• Help children feel safe through patience, consistency, and encouragement
• Support daily routines while maintaining a positive, structured environment
• Communicate with parents about each child's day and individual needs
• Build meaningful relationships with local families
• Monday-Friday availability preferred
• Most shifts occur between 12:00 AM and 11:00 PM
• Typical shifts are 4-8 hours
• Work with vetted local families
• Have at least 1 year of infant childcare experience
• Love working with infants
• Are dependable and professional
• Communicate well with parents and children
• Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Can provide references (At least 2 related to childcare work; 1 character reference)
• Are least 18 years old
Good to know: Experience may come from nannying, babysitting, daycare, preschool, church nursery, or other childcare settings, not to include experience working with family and friends.

Do I need previous nanny experience?
No. We welcome experience from nannying, babysitting, daycare, preschool, church nursery, and other childcare settings.
Will I work with one family or multiple families?
Assignments vary based on family needs, your availability, and scheduling preferences.
What ages will I care for?
Most assignments involve infants and toddlers, though opportunities may occasionally include older children.

What happens after I apply?
Our recruiting team will review your information and schedule an interview. Next, we will conduct screening and reference checks; and send an offer to join the team if qualified. You’ll join us for Orientation and Training on the Jovie Way, then we’ll match you with families that fit your experience and availability. Pay dates are every two weeks!
