Direct Support Professional (DSP) – PM Shift

Hope Residence is a long-term Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) providing hands-on, person-centered support to 52 individuals with varying degrees of intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. We are currently seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for:
Full-Time PM shifts
Part-Time PM shifts
Weekend Only Shifts
Up to $1,250 Sign-On Bonus – Full-Time (PM shifts only)
Up to $650 Sign-On Bonus – Part-Time (PM shifts only)
Starting Wage: From $17.81/hour
Additional Pay Opportunities:
PM, NOC, and weekend shift differentials ( additional $1–$2/hour)
Overtime eligible
Shift pick-up bonuses ( additional $10–$12/hour)
Employees listed on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry are eligible for a higher wage This role also supports maintaining active certification on the Minnesota Registry.
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides direct care and supervision to individuals served in accordance with Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) regulations, individual service plans, and organizational policies. DSPs support daily living needs, promote independence, and ensure the health, safety, and dignity of each person served.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide direct care and support to individuals served
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and maintain the health and safety of individuals
Observe, document, and report behavioral, medical, and program-related concerns to supervisors
Implement behavior support plans and de-escalation strategies as needed
Support medication administration as trained and authorized
Participate in community outings, recreational activities, and social experiences
Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive home environment
Promote person-centered practices that respect individual rights, choices, and independence
Required:
Minimum 16 years of age
Ability to meet Minnesota DHS background study requirements
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Preferred:
Experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities
Active status on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry (not required)
Previous experience in healthcare, residential, or human services settings
