Job Description

Full Time live-out Nanny required for a warm and loving Brooklyn Heights family with one toddler starting Nov 2026. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for all child related duties including providing nurturing care and interacting with their daughter in a fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate way. To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone active, love to travel and overall be a positive and engaging individual. The parents are looking for a true partner who empowers and advocates for their daughter through being a strong role model on a daily basis. The ideal candidate is someone who is flexible with their schedule, proactive, experienced with toddler and school age milestones and who appreciates direct communication with the family. Dad travels frequently for work, so a reliable and dependable individual is essential. Live-in during the summer (Hamptons) and other international trips are expected throughout the year.

Location: Brooklyn Heights, NY and Hamptons (3 weeks during the summer)

Start date: Family is flexible for the perfect candidate - no later than early December.

Days/times: The family wants to find the best of the best! Guaranteed 40 hours/week, with availability to flex to 50 hours as needed for earlier/later shifts, date nights, limited weekends would be ideal. Likely schedule: Monday - Thursday, 8am to 7pm, Friday 1-6pm. Their daughter is in school Tuesday - Thursday (1-3.30pm) - daily school drop off and pick up is expected.

International travel is expected with this role, as well as 3 weeks of live-in during the summer in the Hamptons.

Conditions: $30 - $35 per hour* plus unlimited OMNY card, sick/personal days, vacation and public holidays *dependent on experience

For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

• Authorization to work in the US
• A minimum of 3-5 years experience as a nanny.
• A well-suited demeanor with toddlers and PreK aged children
• Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
• Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
• Ability to complete all child related duties (including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning up/tidying bedroom and play areas, laundry, researching and planning playdates and activities, etc
• Ability to commit for a minimum of 2 years for all permanent positions
• A clean background to pass our comprehensive background check and social media checks
• A professional appearance
• An open and flexible schedule and ability to travel
• A valid passport (or willingness to obtain ASAP)

Additional qualifications we look for:

• Training and certifications such as early childhood education, defensive driving, water safety certification, etc.
• A degree from a four year college
• Other skills include driving, swimming, cooking, sports, the arts and more
• French speaking is preferred but not required.
