Position Summary
Oversees the completion of maintenance tasks to ensure the health and safety of those served and agency employees. Schedules, coordinates and assists in the completion of large maintenance and home improvement projects.
Essential Functions

Performs needed repairs on properties including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry,
appliance repair, painting, and minor maintenance of heating and cooling systems.
Inspects buildings and equipment on a periodic basis, checks for needed repairs and
performs necessary preventative maintenance.
Checks safety systems and devices for operational effectiveness on a routine basis.
Assists in completing move-out inspections in an accurate and timely manner.
Develops and maintains an effective working rapport with individuals, staff, vendors, landlords, and
representatives of community agencies.
Represents the interests of Siffrin in an appropriate and professional manner.
Completes required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
Operates and maintains tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Completes Siffrin and affiliated companies owned property maintenance safety checks quarterly or as requested.
Schedules and attends water, septic, and fire inspections. Schedules annual furnace and air conditioning inspections.
Purchases materials needed and maintains an adequate inventory of routine supplies.
Serves as chairperson of the Safety Committee and attends all Safety Council meetings as the company representative.
Oversees the care and organization of the agency supply area in the garage and rental site(s).
Inspects all properties annually and assists in the development of a capital improvement plan.
Serves as a liaison with location managers regarding maintenance issues.
Completes all other duties as assigned by the Director of Professional Services, Chief Executive Officer or Chief Operating Officer.
Follows the Siffrin, Inc. Code of Ethics in the fulfillment of duties.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds, weight may vary depending on the job and repairs.
Must be able to push, pull, use basic tools, bend, twist, and pick up objects with body and hands.
Must be able to utilize ladders. May be required to stand on, walk on and/or inspect roofs.
Must be able to operate a vehicle in all weather conditions to travel from site to site to make repairs.
Qualifications
A High School Diploma or GED is required.
At least 2 years of maintenance and supervisory experience is required with knowledge and skills in home maintenance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and appliances.
At leaset 2 years experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or develoment disabilities.
Must meet the agency policy with respect to a criminal background and motor vehicle record checks and be bondable.
