Position Type: Full-Time
Location: Kirkland, WA
Office: Jovie of Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, WA
A bit about us: We are a warm, organized family in Kirkland looking for a dependable full-time nanny to care for our 10-month-old daughter. She is an active and curious older baby who loves crawling, pulling herself up, practicing new skills, eating, listening to songs, and having plenty of babbling conversations with the people around her. We are homebodies at heart and value organization, reliability, clear communication, and following through on commitments. As a family, we also enjoy introducing our daughter to new experiences, from parks and the aquarium to the zoo and other family-friendly outings. We are hoping to build a trusting, long-term relationship with a nanny who can become a consistent and reassuring presence in her daily routine.
A bit about you: You are a calm, warm, reliable nanny with strong experience caring for older babies and toddlers and a natural ability to engage with little ones. You genuinely enjoy getting down on the floor to play, talking and singing throughout the day, and encouraging new developmental skills as they emerge. Safety and hygiene are extremely important to you, and you are comfortable following a family’s established routines and preferences closely while trust and rapport develop. You are also comfortable working with parents who may be home during portions of the day and appreciate a collaborative relationship where the parents take the lead regarding their child’s care. A quieter, easygoing personality and a patient, understanding approach would fit especially well with this family.
What You’ll Do: Your day will center almost entirely around attentive, engaging care for one growing baby, including floor play, reading, singing, outdoor time, meals, naps, and supporting milestones such as crawling, standing, and cruising. You’ll prepare simple age-appropriate foods such as eggs and baby cereal and adapt meal preparation as she progresses from purees to more textured foods. Child-related household responsibilities include washing bottles and baby dishes and keeping her bottles, utensils, and feeding items clean and ready to use. The family has one dog, and while no pet care is required, you’ll be mindful about keeping the baby and dog safely separated using the family’s baby gates and established boundaries. As trust develops, the position may grow to include neighborhood walks and eventually outings to places such as libraries, museums, and other age-appropriate activities. “Text NANNY to 206-752-6917 to apply and schedule your interview in under 3 minutes.

Set yourself apart: You’ll be an especially strong fit if you have a naturally calm and gentle presence and truly enjoy the everyday interaction that helps babies learn: talking, singing, reading, playing on the floor, and enthusiastically encouraging new skills. Someone who is exceptionally thoughtful about handwashing, bottle preparation, food safety, and other infant-care hygiene practices will stand out.
