Paladin Security is Hiring a Full Time Healthcare Security Guard!

Location: Kingston, ON
Site: Various Healthcare Sites within Kingston
Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Days: 08:00–20:00 | Nights: 20:00–08:00)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Overtime: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Pay Rate: $18.35 – $22.61/hour

Paladin Security supports healthcare facilities that provide 24/7 care to over 500,000 people across southeastern Ontario. This includes an acute-care teaching hospital affiliated with Queen’s University in Kingston.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and visible security presence
• Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff
• Protect people, property, and healthcare assets
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols
• Respond to emergencies and support hospital code responses
• Complete incident reports and investigations
• Perform patient watches and enforce site policies
• Manage access control, keys, and parking enforcement
• Assist with safety inspections and additional site duties
• Work both independently and within a team environment

Requirements

Must Have

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C (WSIB-approved provider)
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum two doses)
• Immunization records for MMR, Varicella, Pertussis, and TB (Step 1 & 2)
• Ability to be clean-shaven for N95 mask fit testing
• Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check
• Full-time availability with a minimum 6-month commitment
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
• Must provide Stay Safe certifications (or complete Paladin’s program prior to onboarding)

Nice to Have

• Minimum 6 months of healthcare or security experience
• Customer service experience (6+ months preferred)
• Strong English communication skills (French is an asset)
• Reliable transportation
