The Goddard School® located in Vinings, GA is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Floating Teacher to join our team. At our School, we put our teachers first because they put our students first. As a Floating Teacher (substitute/support), when a Lead or Assistant Teacher is out, you will assist with implementing and engaging educational programs and activities inside and outside the classroom. This pivotal role includes working with various age groups, adapting dynamically to varying schedules and parent engagement to meet the evolving educational needs of our school community. This is an entry level postion with growth potential.

** Must be available from Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm. We are looking for full time teachers only.**

Floating Teacher Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance lesson plans and activities in collaboration with Lead and Assistant Teachers
• Provide flexible classroom support for a seamless educational experience
• Organize engaging classroom materials
• Supervise children indoors and outdoors, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Offer personalized attention and foster an inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate transparently with parents about children's progress and achievements
• Maintain clean and inviting classrooms adhering to health and safety standards
• Support routine child care tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, children and families
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
