Job Description

Charlotte's Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the South Park area of Charlotte in finding a Full-Time nanny for their two children, ages 5-years-old and 2-years-old.

The nanny would typically be needed Monday 7:15 am to 4:15 pm and Tuesday through Friday 7:15 am to 4:00 pm, for a total of 44 hours per week.

The best nanny for this family would be organized, punctual, reliable, warm, and caring, with the ability to keep a busy household on schedule. The family prioritizes play, arts and crafts, reading, and being outside. Their 2-year-old attends preschool five days a week from 8:50 am to 12:45 pm, and the nanny will be responsible for getting the 2-year-old ready each morning, as well as handling both drop-off and pick up. Their 5-year-old attends school five days a week. The parents handle drop-off, though the nanny may occasionally be asked to help if the parents are unavailable. The nanny will be responsible for a 1:00 pm pickup two days a week.

During the day, the nanny should be active, engaged, and creative in coming up with fun activities that help the children continue their love of play and learning. In the afternoons, the nanny will maintain the children's nap/quiet time and snack schedule. Household duties are light and are to be completed while both children are in school.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Having fun with the children and helping them continue their love of play and learning
• Getting the 2-year-old ready for school each morning
• Preschool drop-off and pick-up
• School pick-up for the 5-year-old two days a week, and occasional drop-off when parents are unavailable
• Maintaining the afternoon nap/quiet time and snack schedule
• Engaging the children in play, arts and crafts, reading, and outdoor time

Household Duties Include (To be completed while both children are in school):

• Unloading the dishwasher once daily
• Children's laundry, including children's bedding
• Vacuuming the children's areas and common areas (kitchen and living rooms)
• Wiping down countertops and tables
• Tidying, cleaning, and organizing toys
• Package management and recycling

Qualifications

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience
• Have a college degree or equivalent experience
• Have a professional resume
• Fill out a complete online application
• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte's Best Nanny Agency
• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check
• Have a valid driver's license
• Have safe and reliable transportation
• Have a minimum of three professional references
• Be non-smoking/vaping
• CPR and First Aid Certified
• Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts ASAP
• Legal pay is offered at 28.00 an hour, depending on experience
• Overtime paid at time and a half for hours over 40 per week
• Continued pay while the family is away, paid at a guaranteed 44 hours
• School-year paid time off: Mom is a teacher, so the family's paid time off follows the school calendar. During the school year, the nanny will have time off the Wednesday before Thanksgiving through the Friday after Thanksgiving, and December 23rd through the Monday after the federally observed New Year's Day, along with two personal days of their choosing. 2 personal days of the nanny's choosing,
• During the summer months of June and July, the nanny will receive three weeks (15 days) of paid time off to use as they choose.
