Job Description

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Davidson, NC, in finding a Full-Time Nanny for their 3-year-old daughter. The nanny would typically be needed Monday-Wednesday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, and Thursday and Friday, 7:00 am - 12:30 pm (41 hours)

The best nanny for this family would be organized, outgoing, and engaged in early childhood development, with a focus on encouraging age-appropriate independence. This nanny will enjoy planning enriching daily activities and outings that keep the child active and curious, including swim classes, library story time, park visits, painting, nature exploration, and bike rides. The family values a hands-on, play-based approach that incorporates independent play, STEM projects, sensory bins, and a loosely Montessori-inspired philosophy.

The nanny will maintain a consistent daily routine, including a midday nap from approximately 12:00–1:00 PM, and prioritize keeping the child engaged throughout the day. Preparing healthy, nutritious meals for the child is an important responsibility. Mom works from home in a designated office, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently while maintaining clear and respectful boundaries in a work-from-home environment.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the child

• Engaging with the child on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the child both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the child

Household Duties Include (Child is first priority):

• Child’s laundry and changing the child’s sheets weekly

• Child’s meal prep, and occasionally preparing ingredients for family meals

• Unloading/loading dishwasher

• Wiping down kitchen counters

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the child

• Picking up after the Nanny and the child throughout the day

Pets: The family has two friendly Vizsla dogs, one of whom is a puppy. The dogs typically spend most of the day with mom in her home office and have access to a doggy door, so pet care is very limited. The family asks that the nanny keep toys picked up and doors shut to prevent the puppy from getting into things.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Swimming is required

• Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus, including ASL

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• Legal pay is offered at an hourly rate $25-$30, depending on experience
