We are a busy, professional family with one bright, talkative 7-year-old daughter who loves gymnastics, arts and crafts, imaginative play, and swimming. Our days move quickly, and we value someone who can help keep both work and home life organized so we can spend more quality time together as a family. I (Mom) work a hybrid schedule and need a trusted assistant who can stay ahead of calendars, appointments, and day-to-day details with a high level of discretion. We are homebodies at heart and enjoy biking, walking, swimming, exercising, and spending time together. We also have two dogs, including one larger dog, so comfort around pets is important.
You are proactive, detail-oriented, caring, and tech-savvy. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, learning new systems quickly, and communicating directly and professionally. You enjoy spending time with an outgoing, precocious school-aged child and can respond to a big personality and changing moods with patience and even-keeled consistency. You are dependable and able to recognize what needs to be done without waiting to be asked. This long-term, full-time role is approximately 70% executive and administrative support and 30% childcare, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and can move confidently between a professional office environment and family life.
Provide executive and administrative support, including calendar management, scheduling appointments, data entry, answering phones, and helping coordinate day-to-day priorities. Assist with school drop-off when needed, pick up after school, provide a snack, and drive to gymnastics and other activities. Keep the child's schedule updated, add school information and activities to the family calendar, and help coordinate lessons and appointments. Support light household management such as children's laundry, loading and unloading the dishwasher, putting items away, occasional grocery or household errands, and helping with special projects or event setup. Engage the child in arts and crafts, imaginative play, swimming, playground outings, and other screen-light activities while encouraging age-appropriate independence and responsibility. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive professional information with discretion.
