Full-Time Cook

Oak River Rehab Anderson, CA

Oak River Rehab, a skilled nursing facility committed to providing exceptional care and quality of life to our residents, is seeking a Full-Time Cook to join our dietary services team.

Pay

Starting wage: $18.00 per hour Higher wages available depending on experience.

The Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious, appetizing meals in accordance with established menus, dietary requirements, and food safety standards. This position plays an important role in enhancing our residents' daily dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure meals are served in a timely and attractive manner.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Assist with inventory management and proper food storage.
  • Accommodate special diets and texture modifications as directed.
  • Work cooperatively with dietary staff and other departments.

Qualifications

  • Previous cooking experience required; healthcare or skilled nursing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic.
  • Food Handler Certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
