Full Time Construction Project Manager

Department: Expansion & Construction

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Manager - UrgentVet

Reporting To: Lou Palermo

Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 / year

American Veterinary Group is seeking a Construction Project Manager who can coordinate the work of others, take ownership of both process and results, and build a culture of adaptable productivity. This leader plans effectively, executes with discipline, and helps teams accomplish more.

Key Responsibilities


Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver construction projects on time and within budget
  • Manage project staffing, scheduling, and budget controls
  • Support bid package development, pre-qualification activities, and budget preparation
  • Lead preconstruction meetings and coordinate preconstruction activities
  • Develop initial project schedules, refine them as needed, and manage subcontractors and vendors to approved timelines
  • Analyze project risks and schedule-related issues, including long-lead materials or equipment that may affect cash flow
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
  • Evaluate project delivery approaches, recommend alternatives, and support implementation
  • Manage multiple projects effectively at the same time
  • Facilitate regular status meetings with team members, contractors, and vendors
  • Ensure project close-outs are completed accurately and on time
  • Resolve project issues responsibly and proactively seek input from others across the organization
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership on critical business initiatives

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Strong skills in estimating, scheduling, cost budgeting, field supervision, financial reporting, and client relationship management
  • Ability and willingness to travel out of town and out of state to visit project sites
