Garner, Iowa
Schedule Example: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
Starting at $17.00/hr
Average Weekly Earnings: $714/week ($19.83/hr average based on 36 hours)

What You'll Actually Do

No two shifts look exactly the same - and that's what makes this role rewarding.

As a DSP, you'll help individuals:

  • Live independently in their home
  • Shop, cook, and manage daily routines
  • Get to appointments and community activities
  • Build confidence and life skills
  • Experience new opportunities and meaningful moments

You'll also:

  • Support medication administration and health-related needs
  • Complete electronic documentation and service notes
  • Assist with household routines and daily living activities
  • Respond to behavioral or emergency situations using provided training
  • Build positive, meaningful relationships with the individuals you support

You do not need previous DSP experience - we can teach the skills.

Basic Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility needs
  • Comfortable using computers and electronic documentation systems
  • Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
  • Willingness to complete required training and certifications
