Job Description

***$10,000 Sign On Bonus - 2 Year Commitment***

Responsible for providing athletic training services to all age groups through prophylactic or effective treatment methods. Foster and maintain strong relationships between sports medicine team, schools, youth organizations, athletes, and providers.

Essential Job Duties:

  1. Maintains safe, secure, and health work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  2. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  3. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  4. Ensures knowledge or operation of equipment by completing annual competency trainings for specific age populations and equipment.
  5. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies and maintaining state licensure.
  6. Complete appropriate certifications relevant to job duties and be committed to independent continuing education courses as needed.
  7. Complies with federal, state, and local legal and certification requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed action.
  8. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  9. Provides athletic training services to athletes as needed and maintains strong relationships between department, schools, youth organizations, athletes, and providers
  10. Be involved in at least 1 community engagement activity.
  11. Completes and participates in any additional tasks requested by Physician, Sports Performance Coordinator, and/or the administrative team.

Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:

  1. Assists the Sports Performance Coordinator with development and implementation of new programs and clinics.
  2. Responsible for reporting breakdown of necessary support services and providing suggestions for improvements in services to Coordinator and/or Administrative team.

Job Specifications:

  • BS degree from accredited athletic training program approved by the National Athletic Training Association
  • Current state license in athletic training
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Graduate of an accredited athletic training program.
