Job Description

Assistive Technology Coordinator

Location: One Vision

Schedule: Full-Time | Primarily In-Office

Classification: Non-Exempt

Use Technology to Create Greater Independence

Technology can do more than make life easier-it can create opportunities for greater independence, communication, safety, and connection.

At One Vision, we're looking for an Assistive Technology Coordinator who is excited about finding practical, innovative technology solutions that help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities live more independently.

In this role, you'll combine technology, problem-solving, collaboration, and person-centered support to identify individual needs and turn them into solutions that make a meaningful difference. From smart home technology and communication supports to sensors, voice assistants, wireless devices, and other assistive tools, you'll help expand how technology is used across One Vision services.

What You'll Do

As our Assistive Technology Coordinator, you'll help take technology solutions from idea to implementation. You'll:

  • Conduct assistive technology assessments to understand each person's needs, preferences, abilities, and goals
  • Partner with individuals served, families, employees, caregivers, therapists, and other team members to identify meaningful technology solutions
  • Support the ISP process by identifying assistive technology needs, goals, and implementation considerations
  • Research emerging assistive technology, smart living tools, and industry best practices
  • Recommend and customize devices, systems, and software based on individual needs
  • Coordinate technology trials, demonstrations, purchasing, installation, and implementation
  • Work with vendors and internal teams to keep technology projects moving forward
  • Train individuals served, families, employees, and support teams to confidently use and care for technology
  • Provide ongoing troubleshooting and technical support, including on-call support as needed
  • Monitor how technology is working and recommend adjustments or improvements
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, recommendations, implementation, training, and follow-up
  • Help identify new opportunities to expand assistive and enabling technology throughout One Vision

What Makes You a Great Fit

You'll thrive in this role if you're someone who enjoys figuring out how things work, solving problems, and using technology to improve people's everyday lives.

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • A bachelor's degree in a human services-related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least three years of progressively responsible experience supporting individuals with disabilities, including experience collaborating with stakeholders on assistive technology options
  • Knowledge of assistive technology and smart home systems such as Wi-Fi networks, Bluetooth devices, sensors, voice assistants, energy management systems, and wireless switches
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to make technical information understandable and approachable
  • Strong organization, project management, and time-management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
  • Confidence working independently while collaborating across teams
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • A valid driver's license and driving record that meets One Vision's requirements

Bonus points if you have:

  • Supervisory experience
  • RESNA ATP or ATACP certification
  • Experience implementing smart home or assistive technology solutions in disability services

Why This Role Matters

The right technology can help someone communicate more effectively, complete everyday tasks more independently, feel safer in their home, or gain greater control over their daily life.

As our Assistive Technology Coordinator, you'll help One Vision continue finding new and better ways to support the people we serve. You'll work directly with individuals and teams to make sure technology isn't simply installed-it's thoughtfully selected, understood, supported, and actually helping someone achieve their goals.

What You Can Expect

This is a full-time, primarily in-office position with travel to homes, offices, schools, and community locations as needed.

The role may be eligible to participate in One Vision's Remote Work Agreement with supervisor approval. Remote work arrangements are based on business needs and performance and are subject to ongoing review.

Because you'll occasionally assist with technology installation and troubleshooting, you should also be comfortable moving and positioning equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and working in a variety of service environments.

Bring Your Curiosity. We'll Put It to Work.

If you're passionate about technology, enjoy solving problems, and want your work to have a direct impact on people's independence and quality of life, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and help One Vision use technology to create more possibilities for the people we serve.
