We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and implement robust full stack solutions that drive efficiency, enhance data accuracy, and streamline financial operations. This role involves working in a hybrid team structure, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including consultants, external vendors, and AI tool outputs, while leveraging agentic development tools such as Claude Code to accelerate delivery. You will provide technical leadership and ensure code quality across the hybrid development approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable Java backend services using Spring Boot to support financial operations, including transaction processing, reporting engines, and secure APIs for internal and external integrations
  • Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces using TypeScript and React, tailored to the workflows of finance and operations users
  • Leverage agentic AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar to accelerate feature delivery, while critically reviewing, validating, and refining AI-generated code to ensure quality, security, and alignment with business requirements
  • Design, optimize, and maintain SQL Server databases including complex queries, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning for high-volume financial workloads
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in Azure DevOps to ensure efficient, reliable deployment processes
  • Lead code reviews and provide technical guidance for code developed by in-house engineers, consultants, external vendors, and AI-assisted development tools
  • Establish and enforce coding standards, architectural best practices, and technical documentation requirements across the hybrid development team
  • Integrate solutions with existing platforms and business applications, including financial systems such as Sage Intacct, to improve operational efficiency and automation
  • Optimize applications for scalability, performance, and reliability within cloud-based environments and continuously improve based on feedback and real-world data
  • Develop a strong understanding of the underlying business processes and partner with stakeholders to translate those needs into appropriate, well-designed technical solutions
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in full stack software development with a strong focus on Java technologies and modern frontend frameworks
  • Advanced proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data)
  • Strong expertise in TypeScript and React, including state management, component design, and responsive UI development
  • Hands-on experience with agentic AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar, with a demonstrated ability to drive productive workflows and critically evaluate AI-generated output
  • Strong experience with SQL Server (or a comparable RDBMS), including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization
  • Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred)
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture, REST API design, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong grasp of software design patterns, object-oriented programming principles, and secure coding practices
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, Jest, or Playwright
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and provide technical leadership in a hybrid team environment

Desired Attributes:

  • Experience in financial services, private equity, or fund administration is desirable but not required
  • Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar fund accounting platforms
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services and cloud-native application development
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with hybrid teams of in-house staff, consultants, and external vendors
  • Exposure to building or maintaining financial transaction processing systems or reporting engines
  • Demonstrated track record of leading or mentoring engineers in adopting AI-assisted development practices and establishing related code-review and quality standards
  • Working knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, or backend service development
  • Familiarity with agentic workflow frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar

The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $160,000, in addition to a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package. Please note that the actual salary offered within that range will depend on the candidate’s experience level.


Work Arrangement

All applicants applying to Gen II Fund Services, LLC must be legally authorized to work in the United States. This role follows a flexible hybrid schedule, with the resource expected in the office 1–4 days per week on a need basis.
