What You Will Do
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality web applications that enhance both patient-facing and clinician-facing experiences.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and clinical stakeholders to translate complex healthcare workflows into intuitive, reliable software.
- Contribute to both frontend interfaces using React and backend services with Node.js or Ruby on Rails, depending on team needs.
- Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and architectural discussions to uphold a high engineering standard.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and usability issues across the stack.
- Help shape engineering culture and best practices as the team scales, ensuring a collaborative environment.
- Engage in meaningful discussions with users to iterate on features that improve the overall healthcare experience.
Ideal Candidate Background
- 2–6 years of professional software engineering experience, with significant contributions to production applications.
- Strong proficiency in modern frontend development using React and TypeScript or similar frameworks.
- Experience building and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs, with a solid understanding of full-stack architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment where ownership and adaptability are key.
- A genuine interest in healthcare technology and a passion for building software that addresses real patient needs.
Preferred
- Experience working in healthtech, telehealth, or similarly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance considerations in software design.
- Prior experience at an early-stage or growth-stage company, contributing to fast-moving projects.
- Exposure to backend technologies such as Node.js or Python, with the ability to contribute across the stack.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers a competitive salary of $155K–$175K, along with equity ranging from 0.1% to 0.5%. Additionally, the company provides comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits, along with flexible PTO and a hybrid work arrangement to foster a balance between collaboration and autonomy.
