Full-Stack Developer (Java / React / AWS)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Full-Stack Developer to join our Lending Engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating modern cloud-native applications that support critical lending services.

This role requires strong backend engineering expertise with Java 21 and Spring Boot, combined with hands-on frontend development experience using React and modern web technologies. You will work in a highly collaborative engineering environment where pair programming is a mandatory practice, and ownership, technical excellence, and continuous improvement are valued.

You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle—from architecture and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native applications

Build scalable and resilient microservices using Java and Spring Boot

Develop modern user interfaces using React

Design and implement event-driven architectures

Participate in pair programming and peer reviews on a daily basis

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

Deploy and operate workloads on AWS and Kubernetes

Contribute to platform engineering and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives

Create and maintain API documentation

Monitor application health, performance, and reliability

Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and other developers

Skill Requirements

Mandatory Technical Skills

Backend Development

Strong hands-on software development experience with Java 17/21 (preferably Java 21)

Extensive experience with Spring Boot

Experience developing and operating microservices-based architectures

Strong API design and integration experience (REST/OpenAPI)

Experience building distributed, event-driven systems using Kafka or similar messaging technologies

Solid understanding of:

Frontend Development

Strong hands-on experience with React

Experience developing modern, responsive web applications

Understanding of frontend architecture, state management, and API integrations

Experience with Svelte is considered highly beneficial

Cloud & Platform Engineering

Hands-on experience with AWS

Experience deploying and operating applications in cloud-native environments

Experience with container technologies:

Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

Practical experience with:

Databases

Strong SQL and relational database experience

Experience designing efficient data models and queries

Exposure to NoSQL databases is an advantage

Testing & Quality

Experience with automated testing practices

Familiarity with:

Strong commitment to code quality, maintainability, and engineering best practices

Mandatory Requirements

Pair Programming

Hands-on, real-world pair-programming experience is a mandatory requirement.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate practical experience working in pair-programming environments and collaborating closely with other engineers on production-grade software development.
