**What You Will Do**
- Design and build end-to-end customer-facing systems from scratch, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and machine learning, to define and implement scalable solutions.
- Make architectural decisions and take ownership of system design to enhance performance, reliability, and security.
- Lead efforts in developing backend systems, primarily using Python, while also contributing to frontend development tasks as needed.
- Mentor and elevate other engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the technical strategy of the organization.
**Ideal Candidate Background**
- Proven experience in building customer-facing products from the ground up, demonstrating a track record of 0→1 product development.
- Strong backend development skills, with a preference for proficiency in Python and experience in scalable system architecture.
- Ability to work effectively across both frontend and backend technologies, with a focus on backend systems.
- Demonstrated experience in making significant technical decisions and contributing to the overall tech strategy.
- Clear communication skills and a user-centric mindset, with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
**Preferred**
- Familiarity with React and TypeScript, though not required to be an expert.
- Passion for healthcare and AI, with a genuine interest in contributing to meaningful advancements in the field.
