What You Will Do

• Design, build, and maintain backend-leaning full stack systems that drive the retirement investment platform.
• Develop and enhance ledgers, trading systems, and integrations, ensuring accuracy and reliability in all transactions.
• Engage in architectural and design discussions, aligning technical solutions with business objectives.
• Review and improve system design proposals, focusing on scalability, correctness, and long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and operations, to deliver impactful features for users' financial futures.
• Maintain high engineering standards in a domain where accuracy is crucial to financial outcomes.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 3–10 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong backend focus in a full stack context.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining financial systems, ledgers, or transactional platforms where reliability is essential.
• Strong architecture and design skills, capable of aligning technical decisions with business impact.
• Comfortable taking high ownership in environments where accuracy is critical and mistakes have significant consequences.
• Demonstrated systems mindset, considering data integrity, edge cases, and failure modes beyond just feature delivery.

Preferred

• Experience in fintech, particularly in trading, brokerage, lending, or retirement accounts.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance aspects common in financial product development.
