Responsibilities

• Join us in scaling and evolving a digital bank using cloud-native technologies. We are a high-performing team solving meaningful problems in a fast-moving environment, and we deliver quality at speed through small, interdisciplinary teams. We are redefining what modern banking in Hong Kong can look like through engineering excellence, product thinking, and continuous delivery.
• Build and continuously improve customer-facing products and the supporting backend systems that enable them.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs, services, and user interfaces across the full application stack.
• Deliver end-to-end product features from frontend experience through backend integration and production release.
• Implement secure, scalable, and resilient solutions with strong attention to availability, observability, and operational reliability.
• Work across TypeScript, Java/Kotlin, and cloud-native services in a distributed architecture.
• Build and evolve event-driven integrations and data flows using modern patterns and strong API design principles.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code with strong automated test coverage at unit, integration, and service levels.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and platform teams to ship features that delight customers and strengthen trust.
• Use containers, orchestration, and CI/CD practices to support reliable delivery and rapid iteration.
• Participate in production monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement of service resilience.
• Contribute to engineering standards, process improvement, and technical decision-making within the team.

Requrements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production software in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong experience developing full-stack applications across frontend and backend layers.
• Fluent in TypeScript and modern JavaScript, with solid experience in frontend application development.
• Fluent in Kotlin or Java for backend service development.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, service design, and API architecture.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture, asynchronous messaging, and integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of secure application design, data protection, and resilient service behaviour.
• Strong testing practices across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud environments.
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tooling for deployment and operations.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, production monitoring, and incident response.
• Experience working in regulated, security-sensitive, or customer-trust-heavy environments is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams with product, design, and platform partners.
• Quick learner with a results-driven mindset.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development workflows.

Your Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience building digital products.
