Note: Yearly twice must come to Chennai office for visit - Remote

We’re looking for a Product Engineer with 3–5 years of experience who is passionate about building high-quality, scalable systems. You will contribute to the development of backend & frontend services for our product, working closely with experienced engineers, designers, and product stakeholders.

In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience in modern backend technologies, cloud-native development, and microservices architecture, while helping deliver reliable and performant features.

Requirements

Roles and Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of backend services and APIs
• Develop new features using JavaScript / TypeScript (Node.js)
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
• Work with SQL databases to design schemas and write efficient queries
• Deploy and manage services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially using Cloud Run
• Containerise applications using Docker
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues and bugs
• Assist in improving the performance, reliability, and scalability of services
• Contribute to documentation for APIs, services, and workflows
• Work closely with frontend engineers, QA, and product managers

Job requirement

Must Have

• 3–5 years of experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js and backend frameworks (e.g., Express, Fastify, Hono).
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and best practices.
• Strong experience with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and query optimisation.
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerised deployments.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on Cloud Run or similar platforms.
• Basic understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Good to Have

• Experience with messaging systems like Pub/Sub, Kafka, or similar.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., Firestore, MongoDB).
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (logs, metrics, tracing).
• Knowledge of system design fundamentals and scalability concepts.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Prior experience in SaaS or high-traffic applications.
