Full Stack Engineer

We're representing a category-defining consumer marketplace that allows users to access luxury hotel amenities without needing to book an overnight stay. Our client partners with major hotel brands to generate additional revenue while providing millions of customers with easy access to premium experiences. As they enter a major growth phase, they are focused on rebuilding core parts of their product and expanding internationally.
What You Will Do
- Own full-stack features across key marketplace flows, including Search, Details, Booking, and Post-booking, with a measurable impact on conversion and performance.
- Ship end-to-end solutions, integrating UI, API, data model changes, and analytics to enhance user experience.
- Contribute to the development of a Next.js App Router codebase, focusing on routing, data fetching, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to establish API contracts that enhance UI speed and resilience.
- Improve quality and reliability through testing and observability using tools like Playwright and Datadog.
- Partner with Product and Design teams to translate complex system states into intuitive user experiences.
- Strengthen operational readiness by enhancing dashboards, alerts, and documentation for critical workflows.
Ideal Candidate Background
- 4+ years of experience building production web or mobile applications, demonstrating a strong execution-focused mindset.
- Proficient in both frontend and backend development, with hands-on experience in React, Next.js, and backend technologies like Ruby on Rails or Node.js.
- Strong understanding of databases and schema design, with a focus on performance and optimization.
- Proven track record of shipping features that directly impact conversion, performance, and user retention.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges independently.
Preferred
- Experience working in high-traffic systems and consumer-facing or marketplace products.
- Background in startups with a strong engineering culture, particularly in roles that required end-to-end feature ownership.
- Familiarity with analytics instrumentation and improving conversion rates through data-driven decisions.
Compensation and Benefits
