As an Associate/Senior Associate, the PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this role include:

What you’ll do

  • Develop and write Thailand payroll software programs to automate gross‑to‑net pay, Thai personal income tax withholding (PND 1), Social Security Office (SSO) and Workmen’s Compensation Fund (WCF) calculations, and statutory e‑filings (monthly PND 1, annual PND 1 Kor, SSO e‑submission) in line with organisational goals and compliance.

  • Create workflow diagrams and charts to demonstrate the functionality of programs before coding them.

  • Run software tests to spot and resolve bugs and inconsistencies.

  • Write code for software patches and bug fixes.

  • Collaborate with other departments and clients to understand their needs and devise ways to accommodate them with software.

  • Perform regular audits to identify software inefficiencies and mastermind ways to improve workflow.

  • Write and continually update documentation for all programs for internal and external reference.

  • Manage system quality constantly and consistently, including but not limited to, troubleshooting and elimination of bug, glitch, error and grammatical mistakes.

  • Ensure system quality check is completed comprehensively before pushing it to the live site.

  • Ensure system stability, security, reliability, accessibility and accuracy at all times so that the Client Support team are able to deliver services in a timely and professional manner to clients.

What you’ll bring

  • Recognised university degree/relevant certifications in Computer Science/Information Technology or related discipline.

  • 2–4 years of working experience in a relevant field.

  • Strong knowledge, understanding and experience of PHP (Laravel Framework), OOP Concept, MySQL and JavaScript (jQuery, React).

  • A strong knowledge of object-oriented programming languages/concepts and a good understanding of app architecture is a must.

  • Experience with Git, Subversion or other version control tools and IDEs like VS Code.

  • Ability to customise, maintain and enhance existing system applications and adhere to agreed delivery schedules.

  • Ability to write readable, well-maintained code, create extensive documentation for existing code and refactor the previously written code into a more readable and maintainable state.

  • Strong critical/logical thinking for problem solving and coding with a security mindset.

  • Ability to customise, maintain and enhance existing code, ensuring all codes, source code management system(s) and workstream management system(s) follow industry coding best practices and are free from cybersecurity risks.

  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum development life-cycle and familiarity with work/project management tools like JIRA is an added advantage.

  • Familiarity with Linux-based systems and the Azure environment is a plus.

  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.

  • Passionate about learning new technologies and learning together with the team.

  • Results-oriented with an agile mindset.

  • Able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English language with confidence.
