Location: Bucharest or Cluj, Romania

We are seeking a motivated Full Stack Developer with experience in building and delivering end-to-end applications to join the MassMutual Romania team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to business-critical applications while growing technical and domain expertise in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who works effectively within a team, contributing to the design, development, and delivery of web applications deployed in AWS cloud environments. The role involves collaborating with architects, delivery leads, and other engineers to build scalable and maintainable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with delivery leads, QA teams, and technical stakeholders
• Contribute to development, testing, and debugging activities
• Participate in project planning, execution, and testing phases
• Develop application components following SDLC and Agile practices
• Build and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Develop frontend components using React or similar frameworks
• Participate in code reviews and CI/CD processes
• Continuously improve code quality and application performance
• Takes ownership of assigned applications and services, including supporting production issues when needed
• May be required to provide support outside standard working hours in case of critical incidents or production needs

Requirements

• 3-5 years of software development experience
• Proficiency in Java with Spring Boot
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases
• Experience building REST APIs or microservices
• Experience developing web applications using React or similar frameworks
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git)
• Understanding of Agile and SDLC practices
• Basic knowledge of Docker and cloud platforms (AWS or equivalent)
• Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Preferred

• Exposure to microservices architecture patterns
• Basic understanding of application monitoring and logging concepts
• Awareness of security best practices for APIs and web applications
• Awareness of including AI tools into SDLC
