The Business Unit Offshore is a special unit compared to other BU’s in msg global because we are domain and technology agnostic, catering to all industry and technology areas. The Offshore Unit is looking for colleagues who want to successfully shape our clients' future in the digital age. We provide consulting, development, and application maintenance services for the EMEA and NA regions in technologies like the Java ecosystem, C++, Mobility solution, SAP Core, Testing Services, and Agile & DevOps for various industries. Our international team of experts is shaping the future of IT services.

What you will do

You will contribute to the modernization of a banking application by building its replacement using a modern technology stack. You will contribute from requirements and implementation through testing and deployment.

What we are looking for

Must have

• Strong backend development experience with Java 21/Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Strong experience with Hibernate/JPA, SQL.
• Good frontend development experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience with automated unit, integration and application testing.
• Good working knowledge of Git, GitLab/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Good understanding of microservices and distributed applications.
• Able to refine, estimate and independently implement user stories.
• Strong focus on clean code, code reviews, debugging and quality.
• Able to own features from requirement clarification through deployment.

Nice to have

• Experience with RabbitMQ, Redis and WebSocket/STOMP-based communication.
• Exposure to AWS/EKS and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Helm, ArgoCD and Terraform.
• Knowledge of Keycloak, OIDC and JWT-based authentication.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry, Grafana and Prometheus.
• Knowledge of Hexagonal Architecture and Domain-Driven Design.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting production environments.
• Banking domain knowledge, particularly loan-related applications.
