In this role, you will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from technical discovery and solution architecture to implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement. Working within Agile teams, you'll collaborate with designers, product owners, and fellow engineers to develop scalable, high-quality applications that enhance user experiences. You'll have the opportunity to solve complex technical challenges, modernize legacy systems, and promote engineering best practices in a collaborative remote-first environment. Accountabilities:
- Participate in discovery activities, including technical research, user-focused analysis, and solution planning to support digital transformation initiatives.
- Lead technical discovery efforts by producing architecture diagrams, documentation, technical specifications, and implementation recommendations.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full stack applications using modern development frameworks and industry best practices.
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, high-quality digital experiences.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve functional and non-functional issues while continuously improving code quality, maintainability, and application performance.
- Support solution deployments, product launches, and ongoing platform enhancements while contributing reusable components and shared technical capabilities.
- Mentor team members through documentation, knowledge sharing, onboarding support, and continuous improvement of development standards and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer delivering complex software solutions within Agile development environments.
- Strong experience using Git and collaborative source control workflows.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with modern application frameworks, automated unit and integration testing, and relational and non-relational database technologies.
- Solid understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and modern software engineering best practices.
- Experience modernizing legacy systems, working with CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with UX, service design, or human-centered design teams is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools or agentic development workflows is an advantage.
- Ability to obtain required security clearance and successfully complete applicable background screening requirements.

- Salaried rate: CAD $80–$90 per hour
- Incorporated business rate: CAD $95–$105 per hour
- Initial 12-month contract with extension potential up to an additional 24 months.
