Leads scrum teams in developing and maintaining critical mobile apps and web portals. Ensures timely delivery of prioritised features using Agile methodologies. Facilitate all Agile Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, retrospectives, backlog grooming) ensuring active participation, clear outcomes, and adherence to Agile principles to drive team productivity.
Monitor, analyse, and transparently report on team performance metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down/up charts, cycle time) to identify areas for continuous improvement and ensure delivery effectiveness against commitments.
Collaborate closely with Product Owners and key stakeholders to define, groom, and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring alignment of team deliverables with strategic business goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and objectives such as app penetration and revenue targets.
Manage project-related Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Operational Expenditure (OPEX), including accurate forecasting, diligent tracking, and reporting to ensure financial objectives and budget adherence for the scrum team’s activities.
Foster robust collaboration and transparent communication channels with all stakeholders, including Product Owners, business users, IT counterparts, and management, to ensure alignment, proactively identify and remove impediments, and manage dependencies.
Oversee and guide the scrum team through the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for critical mobile applications and web portals, from requirements gathering and design through to development, testing, deployment, and L3/L4 operational support, ensuring quality and timely releases.
Champion and ensure the scrum team's adherence to established software design best practices, architectural frameworks, and DevSecOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) principles to enhance software quality, security, and speed to market.
Manage external software vendor engagements and relationships, overseeing the seamless integration, performance, and contributions of augmented resources within the scrum team structure to achieve project goals.
Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and impactful presentations on project progress, sprint outcomes, challenges, risks, and achievements to various levels of management and other stakeholders.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related qualification
5-7 years of relevant work experience.
Proven experience in a full-stack development role, with a strong
portfolio of web applications and micro services development.
Expertise in designing and developing both front-end interfaces
(e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and back-end services (e.g.,
Node.js, Python, Java, .NET).
Solid understanding of the entire software development lifecycle
within an Agile/Scrum framework.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., GitLab
CI, Jenkins, Git).
Demonstrated ability in API development and testing, including
RESTful services and JSON.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze logs and
debug complex issues in live production environments.
Experience architecting and implementing scalable automation
frameworks
Proficiency with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services
(AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
Familiarity with AI/ML integration is a plus, including experience
with AI-powered development tools and leveraging APIs from AI
services (e.g., OpenAI, Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock) to build
intelligent application features.
