Job Description

Position: Full Stack Developer

Number of hours: 20 hours/week

Schedule: MST, Flexible Hours

Tasks required:

  • Develop and maintain E-commerce websites, plugins, and themes, specifically for Shopify

  • Optimize websites for performance, security, and scalability

  • Designing user interactions on web pages

  • Developing back-end website applications

  • Creating servers and databases for functionality

  • Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile phones and responsiveness of applications

  • Working alongside graphic designers for web design features

  • Seeing through a project from conception to finished product

  • Designing and developing APIs

  • Perform website administration tasks such as plugin configuration, product management, set up email campaigns, content and loading and others

  • Meeting both technical and consumer needs

  • Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages

  • Troubleshoot and debug websites to ensure that they are running smoothly

  • Other ad hoc tasks that might be assigned

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of work experience as a Web developer or relevant experience

  • Knowledge in web programming

  • Strong knowledge of website architecture and plugin development

  • Solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices

  • Excellent knowledge with E-commerce platforms such as Shopify

  • Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytical tools

  • Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skill

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen

  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
