School of Arts and Sciences Profile

Position Overview:

The Full Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor of Geology is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in geology, fostering student learning and critical thinking, and contributing to the academic development of the program. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong teaching experience, subject-matter expertise, and a commitment to academic excellence, research, and student.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate courses within assigned disciplines
  • Prepare and deliver engaging course materials aligned with curriculum standards
  • Support student learning and success both inside and outside the classroom
  • Collaborate with full-time faculty in curriculum development and program assessment
  • Participate in periodic evaluations and contribute to continuous academic improvement

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in Geology.
  • University-level teaching experience in the discipline required
  • Industry experience in the teaching field preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
