As a Fulfilment Unit Manager, to be responsible for leading and managing the IKEA Fulfilment Unit to maximize its potential by maintaining a strong focus on current activities and organizational readiness, as well as to proactively identify new business opportunities to improve productivity and operational efficiency. To build and develop IKEA and the Fulfilment Unit in alignment with the IKEA Vision, the IKEA Business Idea, and the IKEA Human Resource Idea in order to secure the short-, medium-, and long-term growth and profitability of the business. To lead and inspire the team to create and implement a unit business plan that combines national priorities with local needs, thereby communicating a coherent and consistent message to co-workers.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB

  • To lead the Customer Fulfilment Unit and to work with the Country Fulfilment team to secure the highest goods availability according to an accurate forecast, through customer order fulfilment, always at the lowest possible cost.
  • To take the IKEA national business plan and to ensure that the Fulfilment Unit plan is aligned with it while meeting local consumer needs.
  • To ensure active collaboration with the stores to act as a highly efficient and well-staffed fulfilment mechanism, in order to implement efficient operational solutions and to optimize resources.

  • Understand the business plan process and how to integrate logistics priorities into that plan.
  • Proven ability to set expectations and provide clear direction.
  • Understand capacity planning and can analyze future needs and formulate actions to meet these needs at the lowest total cost.
  • Understand how other functions contribute to successful logistics operations.
  • Proven ability to confront and manage poor performance.
  • Understand the IKEA Code of Conduct, regulations and legislation relating to health, safety and security.
  • Knowledge of the IKEA Concept description, including the IKEA vision and business idea, and IKEA culture and values.
  • I know the Commercial Review process and can take action based on the learning/results.
  • An ambassador for the IKEA Brand who works in a way that reflects the IKEA values.
  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English.
  • Ability to stimulate and create healthy competition.
